HELLO BLOG, MY NAME IS AMY.
It's my birthday today, and my loving husband has given me a blog to play with! I'm sure I will have a lot to talk about, between school, work, play, and BABY!! Yes, if you haven't heard, I'm with child. It's been about 2 months now, and it's been pretty crazy. Not too much sickness, just nausea all the time. I go to the doc again next week, and hopefully we'll be able to hear the heart beat! We saw it chuggin' away a few weeks ago, pretty amazing what's going on inside me. Most people ask a standard set of questions, so I'll try to answer them --
1. We weren't really trying to get pregnant, but we were trying to have sex.
2. We will eventually find out if it's a boy or girl, we're just not sure if we'll find out when it's in my belly or after it's emergence into this world.
3. My current due date is May 19 -- my spring semester finals week!!

Onto other news about me, because that's what Amy's World is all about... I turned 28 today! My "star" birthday, as my sis calls it (turning 28 on the 28th, happens once in a lifetime!). It's been a pretty good day; I stayed home from work and got a facial and haircut. My hairdresser said she didn't want me to drive home, since I was so relaxed and almost sleeping while getting a haircut. Like puppy, like mommy, I guess, since Ollie tends to fall asleep while he's mortified in the bath.
In other puppy news, my Mom just got a new 10-week old Golden Retreiver! Sadly, the second of my two childhood dogs, Bunny, passed away a few weeks ago. Bosco passed on in the spring, and we had those two since I was about 10. They had an awesome life, though, can't ask for better parents than mine or a better home than Oakwood Ranch! Anyway, little "Punkin" (I think that's her name, my Mom keeps changing her mind, she's like an excited 5-year old girl!) made her appearance last weekend. Hopefully my Mom will bring her up to Fremont for playtime with Ollie this weekend. I'll be sure to post some pics if she does.
