I just took Ollie for a walk, and he was pissing the hell out of me. I don't know if it's my hormones or what, but he just did not want to walk straight, he tried to chase every squirrel (while dragging me on the other end of the leash....) I know, he is a dog, and it's my fault for not keeping up his training as I should. Anyway, the main reason for this post is to show you pics of my beloved furry boy...click on to see a chronology of his first year...
The first day we brought him home... last December, he was 3 months old...
Here is his last spring, he's about 6 months. We were hiking in Sonol...
This is at Carmel Beach in early summer...Cory was trying to teach him how to swim, but often Ollie was too scared to go get his frisbee, so Cory would have to trek out to get it! Who was teaching who?? Ollie is a great swimmer now, he LOVES the water!!

our beagle "jackie o" does the same thing with squirrels...if only dogs could climb up trees too...she's now started her own pet cemetary...found a pile of frogs she'd found and laid to rest...
What a cutie! He's grown up so handsome. Have you tried a halter lead, like for a horse? We use them on our girls--reminds them we're at the other end of the leashes. I think the brand name is Gentle Leaders or somesuch.
