Yes my dog is in therapy

Tonight we're starting training with an anxiety, fear and aggression specialist. Yes, my dog is officiallyin therapy! He looks so cute, but lurking underneath is a vicious predator...okay not really, he's just a big baby with big teeth that doesn't so much like the babies of the human variety. Well, he likes babies until they can walk, then he's petrified of them!

We've had a couple of close calls, and Cory & I want to be proactive and try to fix this problem before it turns into a lawsuit or a child that needs stitches or (god forbid) needing to put Ollie down or give him away if he doesn't play nice with Baby O. We've tried to get him around as many people and kids as possible, but it hasn't been enough. At the dog park last weekend, he was growling and barking at a few girls in the park. Before he'd be fine with it, so long as they didn't approach him or he could get away. What was scary this time was that he ran up to them barking, so it's not just fear anymore, he's figured out he can be a bully. Not good! So hopefully this guy (that we're spending a lot of money on!!) will have some sort of magic pill to make our furbaby like skinbabies a little better. I'm sure, just like Ollie gets along with the cat so well, that he'll be fine with our own kid, because they will grow up in the same house together and we'll be able to monitor them and teach them. I'm more worried about when our kid wants to bring friends home, then we'll have a big problem, or Ollie will just need to be locked in somewhere. Oh well, hopefully our first session will go well and we'll begin to see some progress!
