Flock of Seagulls

Audrey's sportin' an awesome hairdo this morning, so I had to capture. We're just hanging out now, watching Sesame Street waiting for cousin Mia to come over and play!! I'm getting over a cold, and knock on wood it doesn't spread to Audrey or Cory. It's not that bad, I'm getting it out of the way and hopefully won't be sick any more this winter! Anyway, here are your pictures, hope everyone has a lazy kick back weekend like us!

Eat, Goat

Tammy & Xander came with Audrey and I to Tilden Park today. They have a petting zoo called "The Farm" and today was their fall festival. We saw goats, cows, chickens, geese, a turkey, sheep, piglets, and a tractor. Great fun! Of course, I spent most of the morning ensuring Audrey only pet with her right hand (since it's lefty thumb that resides mostly in her mouth). We'll see if she comes down with any rare farm animal diseases. Xander enjoyed telling us all of the animal sounds, like "baa baa" when we were with the sheep. I still think Audrey's favorite was the slide in the playground just outside the Farm, we slid about fifteen times. My little daredevil. We've had a lotta fun things the past few weekends, and next weekend will be fun too, because we'll get to watch cuz Mia all weekend. Yay! The weekend after that, though, Mommy is going to Vegas with her college buds, so the reports from there will be a little less G rated. (Although I talk big, I'll probably be crying every night when I talk to Audrey on the phone.) Click on for some pictures of our fun farm day!!

Breaking my cardinal rule

of not blogging at work, but it's 4:25 and I'm waiting for a lengthy report to run. Two unrelated facts, but facts nonetheless. I have been meaning to tell you all about a new blog I found. Remember how I was musing about being a part of the "movement" of mommy blogs? Well, I just found a great parenting blog, "The Poop" which is the SF Chronicle's baby blog. In their words:

"Take it from us. You still rock! Life doesn't have to end when you buy a minivan. So relax, mix yourself some Kahlua and Similac Advance Infant Formula™ and schedule a daily cyber-playdate with The Poop - the blog for parents of infants and toddlers in the Bay Area!"

It's really funny, I advise a read if you are of the procreating stage and want a laugh. I loved this entry in particular. For a teaser, it starts "Is your child having trouble sleeping? The solution may be simpler than you think. Perhaps you're not throwing enough SEVERED HUMAN BODY PARTS into his crib." ;)

Fun Day in the Garden

Boy do I have alotta stuff to say today! I finally have an evening that I can devote to blogging and picture uploading. As of tomorrow, I'm getting Cory's sloppy laptop seconds because he's getting a fancy new one, so then it'll be even easier to blog (although I shouldn't say that, that implies I'll be doing a lot more of it, and we all know I'm lazy). Anyway, Now that I've uploaded all the pics stored in my camera, I'm remembering back to all the fun things we did this summer! So let's reminisce together...

First, okay, the pic doesn't capture nearly the amount of fun we had on our long weekend trip down to LA in July. We went for my BFF Kat's 29+1 birthday, and aside from the travel time in the car, we had a blast! This pic is us at the Rainforest Cafe...we took the poor man's Disneyland trip and only went to Downtown Disney, the free shopping strip there. Audrey's too young to appreciate the dough we'd drop on the real deal, so we just went down and shopped and basked in the shadow of the Magic Kingdom. Audrey loooooved the aquarium room that she got to stay in at Kat & Pablo's... they're so well prepared for their soon-to-be little one that they already painted fish and sea cucumbers and kelp and a whale in their nursery, and Audrey had a blast pointing everything out and laughing!!

keep reading for more summer fun...
