It's only naptime on Sunday and we've already had quite a full weekend!! Yesterday, we danced the afternoon away in the city - we finally made it to Baby Loves Disco, an event I've been dying to go to for a year now! I read about it last summer when I was on maternity leave, but the only dancing Audrey was doing then was in her moby wrap when I was trying to get her to go to sleep. Now that she's a bona fide Ginger Rogers, we had a blast! They decked out Ruby Skye, an SF nightclub with bubble machines, toys, and a wide array of fruits and veggies. At first, the food was the big hit - the loud music and groups of crazy (and mostly larger) kids were a bit frightening, but we soon Got into the Groove and started getting down! Audrey slept quite well last night...
And today, we have already had a big morning. We returned to the "motherland" (aka Fremont) for the primary reason to say goodbye to the Chicken. I don't think I've blogged it yet, but we did finally have to put Iggy down, he was just too sick and it wasn't fair to him. So we've all been grieving the loss, but we knew where we wanted to sprinkle his ashes - on Alameda Creek, where he loved to play behind our old house. So this morning we all packed up, had a quick bite at the Pancake House on Fremont Blvd, and then took our old familiar walk along the creek. After that, we took the opportunity to visit Ardenwood Farms to pick up a pumpkin (or five). Click on for pictures of both our Disco day and our morning on the farm...
