Okay, Cory and I caught a good 10 minutes of footage of Audrey dancing last night, but we both agreed that the whole time we were taping, we were thinking of those horrible drunk driving commercials where they show home movies of some kids playing, only to say they were later killed by drunk drivers. So the whole time I was taping Audrey I was thinking of this, and when Cory's face got in the shot I was thinking he'll probably come down with prostate cancer and I'll be watching this in a year, crying, and then will subsequently have to sell pot in my upscale neighborhood to make ends meet and provide for my kids. Ugh. I watch too much TV.
Speaking of kids, plural, I'm going to be a plural auntie!! Yay!! Allison told me last week over the phone, and I promptly dismissed her saying she was lying, but she brought it up again yesterday so I guess I must believe her. Due date is Dec 24th! Merry Christmas Mia!!
We had a fun time yesterday at Gilroy Gardens - I won't post the pictures, because they are basically the same as last fall (Audrey in flying goldfish, Mia in flying goldfish, Audrey and Mia in mini cars, Audrey and Mommy in caterpillar, etc), just everyone a little older. It was SOOOO hot! 93 degrees in Gilroy! Summer has come early. And only 10 days before we live in a house with central air. The good life...
The move is still on and we're still super excited! Our final walk through is Wednesday, so I can't wait to get in the house again. We signed all the papers last week, and I got the opportunity to walk the path from the backyard to the "Village" - the place in our 'hood with restaurants, shops, and Audrey's soon to be (well, okay, 3 years off) elementary school. It's literally a three minute walk. I'm so excited!! A farmers market every Sunday, and Starbucks lattes to boot, I'm going to be in heaven. Plus, we finally agreed on a new couch for our new family room, so on top of it all I get to shop and buy things. I know I pretend to be above consumerism, but I relapse from time to time. So whenever you're in Oakland or the SF Bay, do stop by!!
